New book!

Ok so I found a new book in sunriver and it looked interesting so I bought it, and it’s like in second place (behind the 2 princesses of Bamarre) for my all-time favorite book! Here’s what the back says:

Ok, so that’s what caught my attention. But as I started reading it, it got so much better, it was amazing! full of unexpected twists in the storyline, suspense (I literally wouldn’t put it down unless someone was screaming at me to do so) and so much epic adventure that I loved it even more! Ok so this book is called ‘The Warrior Heir’ and it’s by Cinda Williams Chima. It’s a great book and I VERYhighly recommend it!

Finals week

Ok, so finals week is pretty much the most torturing, and painful, and stressful week of the entire school year! Right? yeah! So on my first day of finals I have French 2 final (200 QUESTIONS LONG!), and photography (which is about a bunch of stuff that we never learned in class!). Day 2 I have Foods (which you wouldn’t think would be hard, but it was all about mearsuring, and ‘calories per gram’, and vitamins, ect. so it was hard), Biology (I was really worried about this one, because it would decide whether or not I got to do anything fun this summer if you know what I mean) and Geometry (I;m good at math It just took a long time.) In my geometry final we had to write a letter to a troop over in Iraq. My geometry teacher Mr.Lake said thaat he read mine, and it was the best one he’d read of that day! and that mine was going on top of the stack (which is a big deal :) ). Day 3 I had English (it’s all about poetry so I knew it) and honors American Government (ouch the title sounds harsh, but it acctually wasn’t that bad [but then again, I acctually studied for this one. lol]) So, yeah finals was hard and painful, but even though I wanted summer to start and finals to end, I still wanted the week to slow down, so I could be with my friends longer. I’m gonna miss them, and you know that my friends from school really have no lives so, they’ll never try to get together with anyone else. haha. so finals (avoid at all cost) should have a warning with it: “Warning: May cause brain failure, brain black outs, harsh attitudes, and other unpleasent symptoms. TAKE AT YOUR OWN RISK!”

Well, I’ve seen two new amazing movies…!

Ironman: This is an action packed movie, and it was soooo cool. Of course, because it’s hollywood, there are some stupid moments, but it’s still an ok movie.

 

And…The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian! This was soooo cool! I loved it! But, that’s because I didn’t read the books. And because I’m a girl I have to say that one of the guys look way cuter. But there where mistakes. First off, they made Caspian way too old. He was supposed to be like half the age they make him, and they put romance in where there shouldn’t be, and it’s just really different. But, I still loved it! They had a few LOTR moves in it! With the trees. :D

They were both amazingly awsome! I highly recommend both! (But mostly Caspian!)

No Braces, And It Feels So Good!

I got my braces off this morning! It took an hour and a half, but it was a small price to pay for those hard, annoying brackets, in my mouth! I got my bottom retainer now, and I’m picking up my top one tomorrow, it’s gonna be teal, and violet, tie-dye. Now, I can smile and not worry about how stupid my teath look, or keep myself from eating cornm on the cob, or apples, or carmel (mmm)! Yay!!!!

Sweet 16 Ideas?

Ok, my 16th birthday is only 3 months away, and I want this to be the best party that I could possibly throw! I’ve only got a few ideas so far, and I’d appreciate it if you guys could give some suggestions. Here’s what I got so far:

GUITAR HERO 3: LEGANDS OF ROCK!!!!!!!

Oh…my…GOSH!!! This game is so much fun. You may be wondering what the difference is between GH2, and GH3. Well, the guitar that you get with the game is the same as the one from GH2, but there are different songs, different characters (some of them look kind of ugly though) andthe graphics are way better, and the game actually shows the reasons why the bands go from place to place. Oh, and there are new, and different stickers for the guitar!!! (I know that’s the highlight, right?!) lol, but still, the game, you must try, then buy! It’s awesome!

The Light of the Oracle

This is a great book! I’m only half way through, but it’s so amazing. This is the “about” thing:

This book is soooo amazing, and even though there isn’t a lot of action (…yet…) it is incredibly suspensful! I mean I’ve read 121 pages in 3 hours. I can’t put it down very easily. (WOOT!) …Yea… ;-) (I’ve now finished it and there was a medium amount of action, and a very good plot. I loved every moment of it!) you should deffinitly read it!

The Ropes Course!!!!! Woot!! :-D

The ropes course was a blast this year! yes there were bumps and bruises, but it was amazing and I got to try some new elements then I did last year and they were soooo cool! We started off by writing our names on duck tape, then we listened to a talk by Keith (one of the YWAM people). Then we played a couple of team games, and the YWAM people numbered us off, to get into teams. In my group there was Christen .P, Kristen .F, Micah .P, Abby .P, Sharon .R, Nick, Kami, Ben .L, Siera, and me. then we came up with a group name and a dance. Our group was named the Fuzzy Magenta Walruss’, the other two groups names were, the Delicious Rainbow Trout, and the Squiggly Aqua Baracoudas. After that the …trouts, and the…walruss’ went to the flying squirrel. they told us to pick a secret word (that didn’t remain secret for very long) and you tell it to the rest of the group, who pull you up when you shout the word. Your harness is attached to a cord that’s  attached to a tree , and a pulley. So my word was Cha Cha! after that we did the low course which (for my team) had a rope bridge (with nothing to hold onto), a cord bridge, a log crossway, three tunnels, a plank bridge, a zip line, a titerope, a spiderweb, a hamock path, and a row of stumps. If you fall, you either have to go back two elements, or two people have to go back one. Christen and Micah helped everyone across the rope bridge, and we had to get two teams across the cord bridge at the same time, and I fell at the log crossway. Two people went back for me, but I felt really bad, so when another team member fell I decided to go back for them. Daniel and Sharon were helping people get across the crossway. After we finished the low course, we had lunch. then we went to the zip line, I went first, and it was really fun, then we did the giant swing. I went third and I was really freaked out, but Sharon and Micah were up there, too, and they helped me to calm down, and I was glad that they were there. :-)   Last wedid the high course, but we only had time for the second half (Ben and Micah did the whole thing anyways) and we did the cargo net, then the plank bridge then we had to pass the long boards and tires. That’s where I fell and I got a rope burn. We were stapped in really well, so I only fell, like, a foot, but the rope burn made my hand feel like it was on fire, and I was sitting in the air, but it’s REALLY hard to stand back up. I did but not without tears and a heck of a lot of frustration! My hand hurt so bad that it hurt to touch anything. I was really glad that Christen, Sharon, and Nick were there, and I probably would’ve stayed there if they weren’t encouraging me. Then I got ice for my hand, we ate pizza, did worship (which was great!), listened to Brendan talk and did ministry. (Cody, Kristen, and Hannah prayed for me, then Abby joined), then we left. So apart from the burn, IT ROCKED! (If you have any questions, just ask, and feel free to comment! :-D )

My Beach Trip!

We went to the beach this last week, and it was soo much fun! We got amazing weather, and it was supposed to rain both days! My sister (Brianna) and I both pitched in and bought a skim board, and that was amazingly fun! We both fell a few times, but we did good in the end. We went shopping again, and I got this amazing coat that I’m totally loving, and I’ve made it work for every outfit that I’ve worn since. :-D   We went down on the beach three times, and two of which I made creatures instead of castles. I made a Giraffe head that I named Charley, and it was smushed an hour later, and I made a sleeping mermaid, and I don’t know what to call her, but she came out pretty good. My mom and I went for a walk at sunset both nights that we were there, and I found a few aggets, and some amazing shells, and I found a heart-shaped rock. It was amazing, and there was no way that it could be anything else! Later, I found two shark teeth!!!! They’re small, but it’s amazing. I mean you know that they’re teeth, because you can see where they’d attach, and it’s soo cool! We went to the park that the youth went to on the beach trip, and then checked in at our hotel. My grandma met a 13-year old Elvis impersonater! He came up to her and started talked with her and saying how he lost his grandmother, and that he was blind in one eye. He was nice. Later that night he came down and gave my grandma his phone number and said that if she was ever in portland to look him up. XD. And my little sister brought her friend Lindsey (who’s 12) and the Elvis dude saw her and started talking about how she had a great throwing arm for football, and later after he gave his number to my grandma, he came over to Lindsey and said, “I had a feeling that you’d want my number, too.” And I thought that that was so hilarious, and what made it even better was that she said, “No thanks.” Anyways, I’m back now, and my sisters birthday is tomorrow and we’re going to Build-A-Bear Workshop, and then going to a movie later on. Wow, this is, and has been a great weekend!

Sunriver!

So this last week my family went to sunriver. We did a lot! We went canoeing where we found an amazing rock and jumped off into the Dechutes (spell check) River!!! It was soooooo cold, but it was insanely fun! We did a ton of shopping, and I painted, and we went for walks, and we visited Desi, but got lost on our first, second, third, forth, and fifth time. In the end, with Desi, we just met her at Shari’s. :-) There was so much more, but I can’t even remember anymore. lol.
